Destination: Milan ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นโšฝ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿท

The Why:

Fashion, Football, Food and further afield…

The world famous home of Milan Fashion Week with its stylish catwalk shows and its shopping…Yeah, I donโ€™t much about all that but its there – Let me tell you about two Cathedrals.

The Duomo

Magnificent barely covers it. Stain glasses windows, Ornate statues and altars. Don’t miss an impressive roof terrace with great views.

The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, San Siro, Milan

Magnificent barely covers it. Any stadium that plays home to AC Milan and Interazonale hosts passionate fans, many of the worlds best footballers on the planet and important exciting matches in Serie A and The camions League. The San Siro is not any old stadium. Having been built upwards on three different occasions the brutalist mass of concrete, twisting walkways and giant Iron roof structure give it a look like nothing else. Get in while you can, the sands of time and modern commercial requirements mean the ground has been slated for replacement but it seems inconceivable that it’s replacement could provide the same level of heritage and drama. Football fans of any age will have heroes here be they among Greaves, Maldini and Baresi, Van Basten, Riijkard and Gullit, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka or a long list of others.

It hosts tours and has a separate museum across town at Casa Milan.
